Pantone Serenity

chambre Néo scandinave KREA Koncept Chambre originale

The colour Serenity does exactly as it's name states – it provides a sense of relaxation through a unique calming effect. A colour like Serenity that provides us with a natural sense of space, is great to use in smaller rooms in your home – bathrooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and especially corridors where an illusion of depth and height might be of concern!

In this example, you can see how this colour delightfully plays with almost every piece of furniture and accessories the homeowner has used  It takes a special colour indeed to do this!

Pantone Buttercup

Clorofilia 2015, Clorofilia Clorofilia Salon moderne

The brightness of Buttercup means it's definitely one of the colours Pantone is referring to when they're talking about sparking happiness and humor in how it affects its viewers!  Since Buttercup is such a bright colour, it is better left off walls and instead, opt to use bright and bold colours on furnishing and accessories (like seen here) for a spark of colour!

The homeowner using the Buttercup-coloured chair and bright yellow blanket as a means of a pop of colour works great in this small living room space!

Here are more great accessories using Buttercup!

Pantone Snorkel Blue

Hues and shades of blue tend to be more relaxing – even ask famous artists, Vasily Kandinsky and Johannes Itten who focused on the relaxation properties of the colour blue for most of their careers! The effect of colours is a very real thing, and this Snorkel Blue is the darkest colour in the Spring 2016 Pantone palette.

Pantone claims that, Snorkel Blue is maritime-inspired and plays in the navy family, but with a happier, more energetic context. This colour is truly wonderful and if you add eclectic accessories and industrialized light fixtures, like this homeowner did – then you're bound to have an amazing space!

Pantone Rose Quartz

homify Salon classique

Pantone's newest and most inspirational colour, is Rose Quartz. It's, a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. – Pantone

Rose Quartz is a rather soft and soothing colour that could be used as wall colour – however, as these colours are trends for 2016, it's best to keep trendy items and colours off more permanent fixtures in your home.  Try what this designer did and use Rose Quartz in furnishings (the two chairs) or in accessories around the room.  For something special, consider a Rose Quartz-dyed animal skin rug to add a sense of luxury and drama to your living room or bedroom!

Pantone Green Flash

Einrichten mit Vintage - Mein eigenes Zuhause, Mighty Vintage Mighty Vintage Salon original

Green Flash is one of those colours that, calls on the wearer to explore, push the envelope and escape the mundane, radiating in openness that combines with the rest of the palette in unexpected but serendipitous ways.

Wow, Pantone! That is a lot to claim about one colour – but we couldn't agree more! Because of Green Flash's intense beauty – we suggest keeping the colour within the spectrum of furnishings and decor! Think about rugs, wall art, pillows and throws – or for larger pieces do what this homeowner did and buy super cool, funky sofas to brighten up your space!

Lilac Gray

Pantone Peach Echo

Peach Echo is a fabulous colour and perfect for those of you that love your oranges and love your pinks! This collaborative shade provides, what seems like, three colours in one!  It's a punchy, fun colour that's perfect to be used for furnishings and accessories (seen here on the headboard and curtains) as well as children's room and nurseries!  It is also a great accessorising colour in smaller spaces like bathrooms, kitchens and gardens.

It just might be the most versatile colour on this list – and one of the top colours for inducing happiness and warmth!

Pantone Iced Coffee

A classic, and great shade of brown – Pantone's Iced Coffee is, A transitional colour that will take us through the seasons… Iced Coffee manifests as another strong neutral of the season.

We think it's great that Pantone has decided to add a neutral to the Spring 2016 palette – and especially for interior design and decorating – we couldn't be happier! Iced Coffee is a rather perfect neutral that works great with everything from wall colour, to accessories and even furnishings!

Pantone Fiesta

파스텔톤의 따뜻한 신혼집 _ 33py, 홍예디자인 홍예디자인 Couloir, entrée, escaliers scandinaves

Seen here around this exquisite door and door frame – Fiesta, like Snorkel Blue and Buttercup – is one of the brightest colours in the Spring 2016 palette! Full of fiery energy and excitement, Fiesta is guaranteed to brighten up any space!

Use Fiesta on areas of your home (like seen here) that could become statement pieces with the right colours – also think about furnishings and accessories. Bold colours will add a lot to your home for the 2016 Spring season – you won't be disappointed! If you're a bit more daring, add Fiesta as a wall colour – but be careful with this option!
