DO NOT USE! I used this company for a memorial bench for my mum when she passed, they have no compassion at all and ignore emails, their delivery drivers cnt speak English (this ended up with them walking dog mess through the house), they said they would give me a partial refund for cleaning carpet to then hear nothing and when I emailed they said actually no, they needed to valet van!! I had to chase delivery as well as other stuff which just added to the hassle. Awful customer service and the director ignored my email too! I would advise to steer clear of this shambles company!

Great product at a very reasonable price. Delivered speedily for our daughter's birthday. It looks great in her garden and was used straight away at her birthday party!

Very pleased with our half moon bench it looks great on our new decking we gave it three coats of wood oil to bring out the wood grain it's in the shed over winter to protect it and the new banana shape cushion just finished it off 👍

We were very impressed by the customer service we received, the bench arrived quickly and very well protected. We are impressed by the quality and finish, we will definitely be buying more garden furniture from them. We love having a cup of coffee enjoying the view, the bench is just perfect.

The Garden Furniture Centre are appalling in regard to the time taken to respond to emails, with numerous emails not responded to [8 without reply, 8 within 1-4 days]. I’ve been trying to resolve an issue since May but have had no response despite emailing three different people. They provided erroneous advice when I visited their store prior to purchase regarding a parasol base. Order placed with kerbside deliver paid for, which states '48/72 hr despatch' but the order took 21 days. Just reading the long list of other poor reviews, why oh why didn’t I read these before buying from this company.

Great experience collecting my products in store, manager Jon was very helpful. Great showroom with lots of quirky and interesting furniture.

Excellent customer service as we had a problem with a chair which they sorted out without any problems,and excellent delivery men very helpful would definitely recommend this garden centre

If I could choose no stars, that would be my preference currently. Store and staff seem lovely, so sad about this, but had enough of trying to chase. 29th October bought ex display gazebo. Couldn't see it but assured no damage or issues just general wear and tear. Paid for installation. After a week, no call to arrange so called store. Guy I spoke to bit cagey, couldn't explain what was happening and said would call me back. 2 days, no call. Called again. Told legs being welded (!?), but booked in installation. Day before, they phoned and said legs not been welded, promised it would happen following week. Booked in installation. Day before phoned and cancelled. As I missed the call called back, told it was going to happen and they will book in for a date I couldn't do, however I feel like I'm not being told the whole truth (why can't companies just be up front from the start) so requested they make sure the issue that I still have not been completely filled in on will for sure be rectified as I can't keep rearranging. Told the installer would call. No Call, so called, spoke to another gentleman on Monday. Was told it was being installed on Friday, I said that hadn't been arranged, and I'm not available on Friday, and as far as I know the issue has still not been sorted. Told I'd get a call back. Unsurprisingly no call back. Taken our money so clearly not that bothered about customer service and actually delivering the goods. Trying to get anyone to answer the phone is a bit of a nightmare, so I've given up trying to get in touch today and I thought I'd leave this review here, hoping it might trigger someone to do better. I don't mind waiting, the world has bigger problems than one company not doing their job. I absolutely appreciate its tough for businesses out there, but I still expect to be told the truth, and to be kept informed as to what is happening, and not wasting my time. Anyone?

Bought a Turned wooden table, great value for money as purchased exactly the same in Falmouth for 3 times the price. Service here is also great, Thank you. Steve M.

Unfortunately if I could rate no stars I would. Ordered a summer house 29/4/22 and was told 4 weeks for delivery and installation. Zero contact. Had to call them when not heard a month later to chase up and was told 4 weeks not 6. I paid in full. Zero contact again until 27/7/22 I get a call saying they are delivering at installing on 28/7/22 !!!! Not sure how you leave a customer 3 months waiting for a ready made product ….I could understand if it was made to order ! Hence to say I am cancelling the order, disgusted at lack of contact and not even an apology . Hopefully I will receive my refund ASAP on Monday (as they have part time accounts dept) Beware

Exceptional customer service from Maisie and Lynette and special thanks to Zak who delivered our garden parasol. We were preparing for a special 80th birthday garden party and needed the parasol delivered before a specific date. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks. Highly recommended.

I am so pleased with my Hartman bench. I have had two chairs from the same set for well over ten years so know the quality is excellent. If something goes wrong it is the way the problem is handled that matters and after a delivery hiccup (courier fault) TGFC were wonderfully helpful and sorted the problem with a friendly, personal service. I can recommend them thoroughly.

A nice place for outdoor and some indoor furniture that is well worth a visit. There is a great amount of choice here but there are many items that you wouldn't find elsewhere. Prices typically look on the high side but conversely there are a few items that I thought were very competitive.

Have now been waiting over 12 months for correct cushions for my corner sofa. It took 6 months of constant chasing, numerous emails and calls to actually get the furniture. Delivered in March! Mismatched cushions which totally spoil the look. So frustrated by it all!!!!

I made my complaint 3 years ago. It seems they haven’t learned from any of the poor complaints below. Even the response from the managers when someone leaves a one star review (which is very often): “sorry you’ve had a poor service, we hope you’ll shop with us again”. Why on EARTH would we do that? You can see the issues below with the 3.6 average ratings and 145+ “terrible” ratings. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM, THEY DON’T DESERVE OUR MONEY

This furniture was for our holiday home. Lynette kept us updated with the progress of our order and Darren the delivery guy contacted us the day before and kept us updated with times on the day. First class service again and the quality of the furniture is superb. Thank you all!

Don't be fooled by the website. This place isn't nearly that big, with a limited range of garden benches, for example. Nice to wander round though.

I brought a used large Roma square parasol from The Garden Furniture Centre Ltd in late 2017. But because I was having the garden completely renovated at the time, when it was delivered I just put it in the garage still wrapped and not checked. BIG MISTAKE!!! When I finally came to use it in 2018, I found that one of the struts was actually damaged but as it was brought a while ago I couldn't go back to the seller. The parasol was still usable but now the damaged strut has snapped and had damaged the central plastic hub. I contacted the seller but unfortunately the reply was they can't help to get replacement parts even though I am willing to pay for them. Looks like I have to throw the £360 down the tip.

This company has tuned incompetence into an art form. And it started so well, I found the rather expensive parasol I wanted on their web-site and it was available from stock...Good news ! and I placed the order. The confirmation email gave a delivery date of six to eight weeks (For a stock item?) so I phoned and spoke to a Lady who apologised and told me that the delivery date was wrong and that as this would be sent by courier I would have it within a few days. Super!!!. But then I received more documentation again quoting six weeks, so I rang and spoke to a person called John who chastised me for not remembering who I spoke with and the told me that this was much too heavy to go by courier and needed to be sent on their own transport. BUT he was just going to visit the despatch department and would see what he could do. A couple of hours later I received a call from Lynette, who told me that a space had been reserved on the lorry when it next came to Kent early the following week. So I accepted this on the understanding that if delivery was not made on that day I expected an immediate refund. And with a normal company that would have been it...but no!! Two days later I received a strangely worded email from Lynette explaining that the box was quite big and did I want a refund... "NO!" I replied "I want the parasol next week as promised." She confirmed that it was booked on the truck and it would be here; personally I was not convinced. Today was Delivery Day and when I had heard nothing by 3.00pm I phoned and spoke to Natalie who had a look and thought that I had postponed the delivery but went off and spoke to Lynette who promised to phone within a couple of minutes, That call did not happen, so I rang again and had a nice chat with Victoria who told me that Lynette was just about to phone...And two minutes later she did. Evidentially the transport department had forgotten to load it and unfortunately there was no way she could arrange an accelerated delivery. I have asked for my £800 to be refunded. I believe that you can tell a lot about a business by the way it responds to a problem.

Excellent showroom and friendly customer service.. comunication about my order was second to none....it seems nothing is to much trouble for these guys.. Jon was brilliant and made sure I got my patio set on time for my birthday. I purchased the midnight montana arm chairs and table they are a superior product and well worth every penny. Will definitely purchase more from this fabulous shop. Thanks guys x

Awful to deal with left high n dry with pic nic bench. No customer service. Let down massively. Eventually got my refund after weeks of being fobbed off. AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE.

Supply of teak benches has been problematic due to the Suez Canal blockage, but the Garden Furniture Centre had stock and could deliver within 4 weeks. Not super fast, but better than waiting until September which everyone else was offering. Garden Furniture Centre website was easy to use, communication was excellent, the bench was delivered when promised and packaged well. Lynette kept me updated on my order by email, and also rang two days before to confirm everything was in place. The bench is beautifully made, the price was reasonable, and the service was great.

I bought a large amount of garden furniture in early 2020 and despite chasing for over a year and many phone calls and emails later I have only just received my missing cushions for the corner sofa in April 2021 so over a year later. Products are great customer service is some of the worst I have experienced.

Don't bother using the live chat service. I've tried on 4 different days at 4 different times of day and there's never anyone there. In response to your response, all times I have tried live chat have been within your opening hours. And, while I am happy to phone, what is the point of having live chat if it is not manned?

An Absolutely shambolic company to deal with. Placed an order on the 5th March in good time for the Easter Weekend and I was advised the order would be delivered in 14days but expect 21days in peak periods. I gave it 21days and rang them, in fact I emailed them at 14days but got no reply. I was told that this bench is stock and you should have it, I will action this now and you will get a confirmation. Nothing! I then rang the next week and spoke to a Director (Jon), Leave it with me sir I will make sure its sorted. Nothing! I called again on the Thursday, before good Friday, Sorry we are now out of stock. I asked for the director to make it right NOT just refund me! I got a refund notification in PayPal! I had to call the director to find out what had happened. I am now left with no furniture and no way of sorting it before Good Friday. If I was told on the Monday, I could have sorted something. The thing is there was no need as I made the contact and I gave them every opportunity to resolve in good time. To be told that “my backs against the wall”, is not acceptable, your back is against the wall because you put it there. In the grand scale of things this is a 1st world issue but, to be fair so is buying garden furniture. I’m just glad that it wasn’t a larger order as I wouldn’t trust them holding onto my money based on my experience. Today is Tuesday at 12pm, and still no further call from Jon, hence why I am putting up this review. To summarise, a pretty basic order and a pretty basic issue made really frustrating. To be honest I couldn’t of given them any further help to make this right.

🚫🚫🚫Purchase on your own risk. You will be waiting forever for delivery and eventually you will come to know they cannot deliver your order. And ofcourse you need to praise them in your reviews otherwise owner will cancel your order. Beaware they are just waste of time. And if you purchase anything from there you need to have great patience to wait. Overview of my order Purchase date 9th Aug Follow up on 15 Sep To find out they have not send paper for finance. But still I let it go as mistakes happen. And they said some one will call about delivery date in a week time. NO call I phoned them again and it was back to square and same story And eventually my order is cancelled after two months and to be honest I don't even care now as it was cane furniture for conservatory. So I advise everyone to avoid this place if u can. And finally I can see 5 star reviews from staff. 📢📢📢📢.

I really do not understand why/how this place is open, as it is about as far removed from being an "essential" shop as it's possible to be! Different, wacky, strange, weird furniture, for indoors and outside. Unique but your pockets need to be very deep.

We ordered a item from amazon which came and we were so pleased with it I ordered another one as a birthday gift ..payment was taken and note saying item dispatched .. some time later when nothing arrived I contacted them to be told its definitely been dispatched please give it more time but I will get back to you (never happened ) called them back to be told must of been lost by the courier FED EX and sorry we have no more in stock ..disappointed we googled for the same item to find this company advertised them in stock .thinking this was incorrect I rang only to be told 31 in stock how many would I like ..contacting customer services again I was finally told the truth that they had incorrectly priced them on Amazon so simply cancelled my paid for order and point blank lied about the poor courier and having no stock ....please please avoid this companies lies as thier profits far outway thier customers needs ....A LIAR can never be trusted...
